I’ve always loved the dip in the late 1950s/early 1960s Rambler station wagon roofline. Not sure what purpose it ever served, other than maybe to cut down on glass expenditures at the factory. One of the more recent Ramblers with that roofline to pass through the Hemmings.com classifieds is this 1962 Rambler Classic that appears to have been lovingly taken care of in recent years. From the seller’s description:
1962 AMC Rambler Classic 6 wagon, 3-speed push button flashmatic transmission, hd cooling system, back-up lights, weather eye ventilation system, full reclining seats, blue tinted glass, oil bath air cleaner, padded dash, hd springs and the custom trim level, frost white, no scrapes, dents or evidence of any accidents, mechanically it runs perfect, full service recently, brakes have all been rebuilt with new components, powdercoated wheels, new tires and shocks all around, interior is true time capsule, front seat expertly rebuilt using sms material, rear seat is original and perfect, dash cluster professionally restored, headliner and carpet are mint, all color printed advertisements, brochures, original bill of sale, owners manual, included.
