Out of the thousands of cars built in the first couple decades of the 20th century, there are many that are rather significant, yet receive little popular attention, likely because few still exist. The Scripps-Booth is one of those, and indeed, this 1916 Scripps-Booth is the only one I can recall seeing in the pages of Hemmings in recent years. From the seller’s description:

All original, fully restored very rare car. One of the first V-8 motors built, a true barn find. Only 3 like this in the world that I know of. GM bought the patent in 1917 and the rest is history. Seller is very motivated.
