Hey there, you with the unrestored Italian car: Concorso Italiano wants you. This year’s edition of the festival of all things Italian in Monterey, California, will feature a display of all-original and barn-find Italian cars from 1973 and earlier.

“Concorso Italiano has a long history of recognizing great Italian cars as they are. Our qualifications are simple: Just wash it, and bring it,” the organizers say. To qualify for the Centerpiece Display, a car must have 80 percent or more of its original paint, as well as original chrome and interior upholstery and carpeting. “Mechanically, the car can, of course, have been serviced, and should be in operating condition. Modern tires are acceptable if they are of the size originally equipped by the factory,” the Concorso organizers say.

If you’d like to have your car considered, send a description and some digital photos to ci@concorso.com, and please use “Centerpiece Display” as the subject line. You should be prepared to document your car’s originality claims.

This year, Concorso takes place Friday, August 19, at Monterey’s Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. That’s right in the heart of the Pebble Beach weekend.
