Ever since AvantiDon told us about the Studebaker Avanti sedan prototypes a few months ago, I’ve been longing to see them in person, and I finally had my chance this past weekend at the Glenmoor Gathering, when the Studebaker Museum brought both to their first public showing. As you can see from the photos, true, they’re rough, but the fastback at least both have full drivetrains, and the bubbleback was able to drive onto the show field under its own power. Myron, btw, was very excited to see the Pichon Parat badges still on the cars, quite an interesting choice of coachbuilders on Raymond Loewy’s part.
