It’s almost too easy to make fun of the breathless narration of mid-century promotional videos, but at least they attempt to provide some sort of educational component, as opposed to today’s automotive promotional videos, which focus on feelings and other “soft” selling points. Nowhere is that more evident than in the 10-minute video that Jim over at Hooniverse recently found in which Chevrolet attempted to explain and promote its new Rochester fuel injection system to a buying public almost totally unfamiliar with anything but the carburetor.
