Recently, I ran across this Liberty Mutual ad that appeared in magazines dating from 1961. On the surface, there’s nothing special about it; just another insurance company stating their willingness to stand by you no matter the circumstances. On the flip side, it’s a snapshot into the past – staged or not – giving today’s observer a view of the safety standards of the day.
Beyond the museum-like approach to the ad, you can also take a couple of minutes – time you would have normally spent shopping online for dear old Uncle Sid and Aunt Mildred – and try to name all of the vehicles in the image.
