Many of the changes you’ve seen here on the Hemmings Blog lately have been the result of ideas, brainstorming, and guidance from Steve Berry, a guy who knows a thing or two about the Intertubes. Steve also knows a thing or two about vintage Volvos, and he’s putting the latter knowledge to good use as navigator for Apple Farmer Racing, which this weekend plans to be the first racing team to run a Volvo up Pike’s Peak since 1958. They’re planning on attempting the feat in the same 1967 122S that they’ve taken down Mexico way for La Carrera Panamericana, the specs of which you can find on Apple Farmer Racing’s website. When we last checked, they’d passed through tech and were prepping for a few practice runs. Best wishes to Steve and the rest of Apple Farmer Racing!
