James and John Kryta of Inline Tube took home championship honors last month from The 2010 Summit Racing Equipment Show Car Series ISCA Finals with their impeccably restored, radiant green 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30.
The brothers Kryta started the concours-level restoration in June 2009 and completed it on February 15 of this year, in time for the Detroit Autorama. The 442 netted Best Restored of Show at Detroit and went on to earn first place and best restored at four other indoor shows, then finally took the overall win in Houston over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
This is the first time in the history of the ISCA series that an Oldsmobile has been named the restored champion.
