Hemmings Find of the Day – 1987 Renault Alliance GTA

Written by webmin

The other day, a fellow AMCer and I were discussing what might have been if AMC were able to keep going on its own past 1987. The obvious answer is, of course, that AMC would have kept building and selling cars like they were already building and selling – namely, the Renault Alliance, a small front-driver with a transverse engine. Most AMCers nowadays try to distance themselves from the Alliance as far as possible, but there are a few who don’t mind an Alliance or two in their collections. This 1987 Renault Alliance GTA for sale on Hemmings.com comes not only with a spare GTA, but also an Alliance convertible (pictured above). From the seller’s description:

3 Renault group with 3 extra 1.7 engines, auto, 5 speed, lots of parts some new. 85 Convt & (1) of (2) 87 GTAs titled and licensed. 2nd GTA not running.
