A pair of 2002s recently cropped up on Hemmings.com, both out of the San Francisco Bay area, and while we appreciated the tasteful modifications to the ‘73, it was this 1974 2002 Turbo that really caught our eye. Note that this example lacks the reverse-lettering graphics on the chin spoiler; as Jim Donnelly pointed out in an article on the 2002 Turbo in HSX #35, the graphics were omitted later on in production due to outcry from the German media. From the seller’s description:

This rust-free example underwent a complete restoration including a $12,000 bare-metal repaint back to the original Polaris silver metallic finish This is the real deal factory 2002 turbo one of approximately 1,600 total examples produced for the non-U.S. market. It features the 170 horsepower fuel-injected four cylinder engine mated to the rare dogleg 5 speed manual transmission.
