We recently came across an old friend, now advertised in Hemmings Motor News for sale. This little charmer is the 1960 Austin-Healey Sprite that was carefully restored by Motorcar Garage founder Peter Cosmides, and that was chronicled in the March 2008 issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine. From the seller’s description:

3 year, rotisserie restoration fully documented/photographed. Consistent 1st Place show winner including 2008 National Austin Healey Conclave and Regional Encounter meets. This is one of the nicest Bugeyes in the country. Most suspension components have been powder coated. Car has been upgraded with a 1275cc engine and ribcase gearbox. Slightly upgraded camshaft so it has plenty of power to enjoy the drive. Front brakes upgraded to later Midget disc brakes with upgraded needle bearings. Nothing has been overlooked, either replaced or refinished.

We’ll be sad to see ya go, little guy, but we hope you find a happy new home!
