It must be woodie season around here. First, we had the Cantrell-bodied 1951 Dodge woodie pop up the other day, then I spotted another half-dozen or so woodies on Hemmings.com, including this intriguing 1941 Lincoln Zephyr partway through its transformation into a phantom woodie station wagon. From the seller’s description:

This is an awesome project with the hard work done. A well known Lincoln collector and Woody lover decided to merge his two favorite cars.  He took a 41 Zephyr sedan and made it into a woody.  The car started as a completely solid 41 four door sedan.  The wood work is all custom and absolutely magnificent.  The wood is done and the body is painted.  There are tons of parts including stainless, lights, handles, etc. the car needs to be finished.  there is no drivetrain as he was going to use a modern drivetrain, but nothing has been altered.
