Harold Cleworth is a name familiar to aficionados of fine automotive artwork, and to faithful readers of Hemmings Classic Car alike.  You may  recall Harold from his September 2006 Auto Art profile, and we’re pleased to congratulate him on his noteworthy contribution to this year’s edition of the incomparable Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance: the official event poster.

Harold’s poster art depicts the 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza racer, along with two road-going Alfa Romeos that shared its engine design. The choice of vehicles in this painting pays tribute to this storied Italian automaker’s 2010 centenary, which will be highlighted during the Concours on Sunday, August 15.

Not only has Harold been tapped to share his vision on behalf of the Pebble Beach Concours, but fellow Automotive Fine Arts Society member and native Brit Barry Rowe has created the stunning poster art for the 2010 Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance.

This accomplished artist and author has highlighted the 50th anniversary of one of Ferrari’s most beautiful and accomplished models, the 250 GT Short Wheelbase Berlinetta. This commission marks Barry’s ninth Tour d’Elegance poster, in addition to his four previous Pebble Beach Concours posters.

Congratulations, gentlemen!
