As promised, Fernando Aguerre, he of all the cool barn finds in Argentina, sent along a picture of his flower car restoration’s progress. Here he notes that it’s going from the mechanic’s shop to the electrician’s shop to get wired, but you can also see how the body looks all spiffed up. “They just started the engine, and it sounded like a brand new violin, like we like to say in Argentina,” Fernando said.

The style number of 42-6069 tells us this car started life as a 1942 Fleetwood Series 60 Special four-door sedan on a 133-inch wheelbase. I believe the paint code 1 means that the sedan was originally painted black. Haven’t yet tracked down that trim code.
