Last week I blew it – perhaps just as badly as the officials in the US soccer game (FIFA World Cup) – and simply forgot to present an interesting Ad of the Week. So this week I opted to switch it up a bit and show you some pages from vintage dealer brochures for Buick’s Riviera. Not exactly coincidentally, I’ll be heading down to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, later this week to cover the back half of the Riviera Owner’s Association national meet, which includes a stop at the AACA Museum in nearby Hershey. For those interested, their car show is Thursday at the host hotel, located off Union Deposit Road.

Following the ROA meet, I’ll be crossing the Susquehanna River to cover the ALL-GM Nationals at Carlisle. If all goes according to plan, I’ll have some preliminary highlights from both events through the weekend at this cyberspace locale. For now, enjoy these Rivieras from 1969, 1974 and 1983. While you’re at it, why not share your Riviera stories – and which one you think is better and why.
